Gun Safe Door Organizer | Magazine Racks & Pistol Mounts for Safe Doors
The best way to organize a gun safe door is to mount magazine racks and pistol hooks directly to the door panel, where they use space the shelves can't. On a steel door, Spartan's Magnet Screws hold the rack with no drilling: each 1-inch magnet pulls 37 lb on clean steel, and two magnets hold any pistol or magazine rack. On a fabric-lined door, use our Velcro-mount racks, self-tapping screws into the steel, or a wood backplate. Every rack is 3D-printed in PETG in Pennsylvania and backed by a lifetime warranty.
Start with the door: a 6-mag PMAG rack, a pistol mag rack for your carry gun, and a pistol hook, held by Magnet Screws. For layout ideas, see our gun safe organizer ideas. Need a different pistol magazine? See all pistol magazine racks.
Gun Safe Door Organizer FAQ
How do I mount a magazine rack on a gun safe door without drilling? On a steel door, use Magnet Screws. Each one replaces a mounting screw with a 1-inch magnet rated at 37 lb of pull on clean steel. Two magnets hold any pistol or magazine rack, and four hold a 6-mag PMAG rack full of magazines. Fabric, textured paint or uneven surfaces reduce the pull.
What if my safe door is lined with fabric? Use the Velcro-mount racks (AR-15 PMAG and Glock), which attach directly to the fabric. For a permanent install, drive self-tapping screws through the fabric into the steel, or mount a thin wood backplate to the door and screw the racks to that.
Will a pistol stay on a mount on the safe door when I open and close it? Yes. Pistol mounts hold the gun by the magwell, and two Magnet Screws hold any pistol mount on a steel door. Close the door at a normal speed and don't slam it.
Every Spartan Mounts product is designed with durability, accessibility, and organization in mind. From gun rooms and safes to workshops and garages, our mounts help you create a setup that works as hard as you do.
