Can mount the mags right by the gun on the grid wall using the add on magnets.
The mount is three mags wide so it fits behind the rifle on my grid wall. I also got the optional magnets and screws and they mount with no problem.
I haven't even unboxed my mounts, but I have a friend that has the same mounts and loves them I trust his judgment so I'll go with that.

I have other Spartan mounts, but got this one 2nd hand to mount my Orthos Raider S4 (Benelli M4 clone) in a closet. It fits perfectly. Yall are too good at this!
I currently own 3 of these mounts. One for an AR. One for my SCAR. One for my AK. These are awesome to use to tuck your rifles away behind doors and hang in closets or even for display purposes. The AK and SCAR mounts I have both lock into the mag well so you can hang facing up vertical or horizontal. I love these things.
Good and sturdy mount. My only complaint is that it’s not easy to make sure it’s actually level so when you actually mount the pistol it isn’t sitting crooked. The back of the mount really should be angled so that the top of the mount is parallel to the top of the slide so you can ensure you’re getting a level mount. Otherwise a great product.

Our pistol mounts are all designed to have the top and bottom edge level with the slide - if yours is not on the TX22, it sounds like Taurus may have made an adjustment to their grip angle possibly?
